Our friends, Brian and Anne, have been arranging Halloween Party in Phnom Penh for last four years. While Halloween is October 31, the party was on Saturday, 27 October for this year. Thanks to them who have arranged a Halloween Party for us, that was VERY great!!

The houses that gave out candy for the kids put a sign “Halloween House” on their gate. Some houses have decorated with pumpkins, scary pictures and lights (looked like a haunted house). Our house was also one of them even though we did not decorate our house.

For this year, there were around 150-200 kids with their favorite costumes (princess, superhero, rap singer, favorite animals, witches, Harry Potter, skeletons, and other scary things). Zach was a Harry Potter and Jacob was a Superman. Some adults dressed up. Trick or Treating in the neighborhood began at 4.30. The tuk-tuk, a kind of hybrid moto-chariot, took around the kids and their parents around the houses.

On that afternoon, the Boeung Keng Kang 1 Street filled with costumed-kids, adults and tuk-tuk.

Pizza Party, completed with beer, soft drinks, at Brian and Anne’s house at 6pm. Unfortunately, we did not go to the party since I got my purse snatched but Zach (thanks to Sydney who has taken care of Zach) went to the Pizza Party. The kids were very happy even though the snatcher has ruined my kid’s happiness.
