Jake, 10 days old baby, came to the two Lebaran Celebration at the Kinderland School for the first time.

Ied Mubarak or Idul Fitri, which in Indonesia is more commonly known as Lebaran, is the celebration that comes at the end of the Muslim month of fasting, Ramadan. Lebaran is also known as the Syawal Month. The meaning of Idul Fitri is "becoming holy again." In Indonesia, this is the time when Muslims visit their family and friends to ask for forgiveness for any wrongs they have committed in the previous year. During Syawal Month many schools, offices, organizations amd companys hold lebaran celebrations.

Last friday, Zach's playgroup, Kinderland had a lebaran celebration. They invited all parents to watch student performances. Zach was very brave in his performance and he could sing and dance perfectly. We were very proud of him.



On Sunday, we went to Bekasi to visit Hanung and Kunthi to celebrate lebaran with my university friends. We very rarely meet each other even though we still live in the same city, Jakarta. That was why we used lebaran as an excuse to get together again. Thanks to Hanung and Kunthi for their willingness to be a host and thanks to DJ for arranging it. We had a great time, it was very nice to see all of you again. Bisa ketemu anak Agis dan Nita yang baru lahir di bumi ini 1,5 bulan yang lalu. Akhirnya bisa ketemu Tetet! Gila ya Tet, sejak kamu di Amerika dan kemudian pindah ke Jakarta kita hanya komunikasi lewat email dan telepon, 3.5 tahun gak tau ketemuan. Ketemu Yulias dan Adi dengan kedua putri mereka yang cantik-cantik, Giri dan Wulan dengan dua jagoannya. Akhirnya juga bisa ketemu Gania anake Dewi Arya. Ketemu ama Wulan yang baru menikah, tapi sayang Wulan gak datang bareng suaminya. Dan yang pasti juga bisa ketemu ama teman-teman yang masih single, masih cerewet, masih lucu, masih cantik dan tentu saja masih dalam pencarian soul-mate mereka. Ada DJ, Hinay, Kristin, Ina, Lely ... you'll find your man soon, go girls and never give up!

Wuih ... seneng tenan aku iso ketemuan maneh. Semoga aja tali silaturahmi ini gak akan pernah putus sampai kita mati yah. Semoga celetukan Lely kalo anak-anak kita bisa menjadi tim pencinta alam seperti bapak-ibunya bisa tercapai, mereka bisa berarung jeram-menjelajah gua-panjang tebing bareng-bareng. Pasti lucu deh!
